This campaign was about bringing the extraordinary imagination of Roald Dahl to life in the real world, with McDonald's offering free stories with every Happy Meal.


The idea was to retell these stories as extraordinary news reports, just as if they had happened in real life. A fun (and harmless) precursor to the Fake News phenomenon.

TV and preroll ads were supported with radio spots and a series of clickbait-style social posts.
